Outdoor Space

Campus Green

The Campus Green is central outdoor space for all student activity. Here you will find students playing pick-up flag football or frisbee. Students relax, study and fellowship around this quad.

Helpful Tips:

  • Setup: Items may need to be rented if all in house resources have been exhausted.
  • Food: Allowed
  • A/V: Amplified sound allowed on the east end of the Campus Green (nearest Kennesaw Hall) ONLY between 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
  • A/V: Amplified sound allowed on the west end of the Campus Green (this includes southwest nearest the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, west nearest Student Center entrance at Bursar's Office, and northwest grill area) from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday - Sunday.
  • Alcohol is not permitted on the Campus Green.

The Legacy Gazebo

The Legacy Gazebo is located between the Social Science and English buildings. It is an outdoor amphitheater with a small stage under the Gazebo and outdoor lights. Traditionally, the Gazebo hosts the Starlight Summer Concert Series.

Helpful Tips:

  • Setup: Existing set up only.
  • Food: Allowed
  • A/V: Amplified sound allowed ONLY between 12:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m., Monday - Friday; between noon and 10:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

Terrace

The Terrace is located on the west side of the Carmichael Student Center. The Terrace is a miniature amphitheater flanked by two Corinthian columns. It is an outside space with open access.

Helpful Tips:

  • Setup: Six foot tables, chairs, and a small group PA are available upon request.
  • Food: Allowed
  • A/V: Amplified sound is allowed Monday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.
  • A/V: No AV equipment is installed.

Austin Amphitheatre

The amphitheatre is located on the south side of campus at the Austin Residence Complex. It is an outdoor space with a small stage.

Helpful Tips:

  • Setup: Existing setup only. If additional items are needed they will have to be rented by the department hosting the event.
  • Food: Allowed
  • A/V: Amplified sound will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
